OKLAHOMA ANNOUNCES STUDENT
SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – November 14,
2011 -- The Oklahoma Chapter of the American Institute of
Architects (AIA Oklahoma) announced the four winners of the 2011
AIA Oklahoma Student Scholarship Award at its Annual Convention
in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The scholarships were presented from
AIA Oklahoma and the American
Institute of Architects through
its national Component Matching Grant program. The Student
Scholarship Award program was founded to recognize architecture
students at the University of Oklahoma College of Architecture
and Oklahoma State University School of Architecture for their
exceptional commitment toward completion of an architectural
degree and practice in the profession
 The 2011 student
scholarship recipients representing the University of Oklahoma,
College of Architecture were Khoi Nguyen and Beth Pearcy.
  
Representing the Oklahoma State University, School of Architecture were
recipients Carrie Foster and Jacob Gann.
 
All four students were
each presented with a $1,000 scholarship toward completion of
their degree and a framed certificate from AIA Oklahoma
president Charles W. Graham, Ph.D., AIA, FRICS.
“Architects share an
important responsibility in assuring the health, safety, and
welfare of the communities they serve,” said Graham. “AIA
Oklahoma is committed to contributing to the preparation of
graduates who will meet the current and future challenges in a
swiftly evolving profession.”
AIA Oklahoma is the
professional organization for over 500 licensed architects in
Oklahoma.
